As the old saying goes, ‘practice makes perfect’
In the Practice of Yoga perhaps, yes & no…
Yes…the more practice, the more benefits you will see and more importantly feel. The more practice the more understanding and connection you will have to yourself and others. Practice builds strength, inside and out.
Practice increases flexibility, inside and out. Practice supports everything.
But to make perfect? It can be argued that we are already perfect, just as we are. Perfection is an ideal which comes laced with all manner of unreasonable expectations. Perfection by rules of society creates pressure, stress. The standards of perfection set us up for failure. Perfection in the material world is an illusion.
There is another place where it perfectly shines, and that place is within. Practice brings us to a space where we feel connection to Source, we begin to buzz from the inside with this truth. Source fueled by Love is perfect, it is us, it is all around us, shining down on us from above.
Use your Practice to find your perfection. Consistent Practice will build strong body and soul. Practice is ongoing, it is constantly reaching, growing and learning. Practice never stops. Find ways to Practice daily, it does not always need to be grand. Little things; practice kindness, breath, prayer, mindfulness, asana, meditation…the list of possibilities is endless. Please know, we are here to support you in your practice.
Embrace the Practice, and it will embrace you.
