Faith is the Refusal to Panic

So it’s here, at our very shores a bona-fide modern day plague. The Corona Virus has arrived and is making a global and devastating impact.

And the collective energy is responding. Most notably to panic. As I have stated many times the number one factor the human body needs towards health, happiness and wellness is to feel safe. Well, that rug has been pulled out from underneath pretty much everybody.

We do not feel safe. An invisible enemy is lurking around every corner and on every door knob. Common colds and flu symptoms have become heart stopping. Events and gatherings canceled, schools closed, supplies hoarded. The supermarkets are downright apocalyptic, and everyone is talking about it. Facebook and the news media are screeching. Posts are flying and the only people making money are the toilet paper industry and Purell.

Fear has arrived and staying present and mindful in an already fractured and disconnected society has become an even greater challenge.

Take a breath. Our tools and our faith are needed right now…and a great deal of love. Pray for this emergency, pray for the affected souls. Be kind to one another, this is connecting us on a profound level. Take the necessary precautions, be mindful. This is a time to act collectively, not selfishly.

Historically we have faced such disasters before. There have been plagues, wars, terror, inquisitions, burnings, crucifixions, genocides, poverty and starvation always. Always. And just like the times before it can feel like the world is coming to an end. The fear of projection into the near future is your real enemy at this moment. Do not go there. You cannot control it and soaking in it will only make everything about this worse.

In Hindu Mythology we would point to the fierce image and archetype of the Goddess Kali. Kali is the creator/destroyer energy which sweeps in and creates profound destruction in order to birth something new. Our souls know something new needs to be born. A new way of being and moving on this planet. A renewed respect for the environment, for resources, for humanity, for equality, respect and love. Less greed, less hate, an end to social and political injustice. More Faith. Faith which is not blind, faith which is moored in Trust and anchored in Love. Faith which refuses to panic.

You see, when you truly feel and connect to the infinite love and energy of Source and Soul you can trust. You can trust in the energy which creates devastation and death. You can and should also feel scared of it, but honor it. Honor this power which has chosen to bring this upon us. Honor the loving wisdom behind it. Trust that out of the ashes, death and fear will rise a new way of being, an evolution and lasting powerful change.

Can you create something new for yourself and your world from this experience? Can you please not saturate yourself and others in news, posts and fear? Can you remember who you really are…a loving perfect being of infinite Light with no beginning or end. Timeless who knows no fear?

Feel your faith and refuse to panic.
